The Castle Estate is used as a "rat run" by local drivers. There are many children on the estate and there is a children's play area next to the pitch. Please help us to be good neighbours by driving slowly and carefully while following these directions.
Where we are:
The Kendal United pitch is on the Castle estate, Kendal next to Castle Drive. For those of you using SatNav the nearest post code is LA9 7BN.

Directions:
From North Kendal, Burneside, Windermere.
Follow the signs for Sedbergh, which should lead you to the A684.
On a short section of one-way street you will pass the Castle Pub on your left.
Join Castle Street - technically you're turning right but it looks like you're heading straight on.
Af ter 50 yards pass Castle Grove on your right.
After another 50 yards turn right onto Castle Road, just before going under a railway bridge.
Follow this for about half a mile. It turns into Castle Grove, then Castle Drive.
The pitch is on your right. Park in the gravel car park.
If you miss Castle Road.
Don't despair! Carry on up the A684 out of Kendal (about a mile).
You'll go into a 40mph limit and pass the Castle Green Hotel on your left.
As you're leaving the 40 limit (and Kendal) turn right down Parkside Road.
From here follow the directions below.
From Sedbergh, Appleby, Kirkby Stephen.
Leave the M6 at Junction 37 and follow the A684 into Kendal.
As you reach the 40mph limit (just before) turn left down Parkside Road.
Drive down the hill, under the railway bridge and turn second right onto Castle Drive.
After 50 yeards bear left past Castle Stores. The pitch is now in front of you. Drive past the pitch and park in the gravel car park on your left.
From South Kendal, Milnthorpe
You need to be at the K Village Outlet on Lound Road.
Arriving in Kendal from the A591 take the South Kendal exit.
Drive into Kendal and at the first traffic lights turn right.
Drive over Romney Bridge and turn left at the roundabout.
You are now on Lound Road heading towards K Village.
From the K Village outlet.
Pass the K Village outlet store on your left then turn right onto Parkside Road.
Drive about 3/4 of a mile, passing the cemetery on your left, then Netherfield Cricket Club and Kendal Town FC.
Pass a small lane on your left them turn left into Castle Drive.
After 50 yeards bear left past Castle Stores. The pitch is now in front of you. Drive past the pitch and park in the gravel car park on your left.
